What are the current predictions for job losses due to AI for Jersey up to the year 2030, and what alternate employment is being worked on for the personnel affected?
If jobs are predicted to be lost completely, what effect will this have on future Island Income Tax revenue?
Response
The information requested is not held by the Government of Jersey. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
The possible impacts on employment and revenue, and the need to grow the economy across sectors, including the Finance sector, are to be considered in the Government’s Future Economy Programme.
