Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon reporting (FOI)

I last asked for information regarding UAP phenomenon, which was a very inaccurate response. UAP are now a real concern not just lights in the sky, they are recorded on multiple radar and video footage from military and commercial aircraft; they are also recognised by all world governments and NASA.

I have reported them after viewing, also friends of mine, but we have the phone often put down when we do.

You said there has been no reports unfortunately this is far from accurate Jersey Air traffic control were alerted by two separate pilots and planes with passengers on each plane also making reports after landing the objects were estimated between a mile wide, both pilots estimated the object to be at 20,000 feet. This issue occurred on 26 April 2007. What makes this case stand out that radar data also confirmed the pilots accounts one of the pilots names is [name redacted].

NASA are urging pilots to come forward and to reduce the stigma.

Lights in the sky unfortunately is a easy way to dismiss the issue unfortunately these objects are moving in ways the defy all laws of gravity and physics and also have no propulsion or wings and travel up to speeds of 35,000mph with no sonic boom.

Can you please address why this was withheld from my previous enquiry in regards Jersey Air traffic control or police are not in communication in regards this matter as it is an air safety issue. In regards [name redacted] the object was spotted off the Alderney coast but our services were used.

The information you have requested is not held by the Government of Jersey. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
