With reference to workplace or disciplinary investigations in the 12 month period to 31 March 2023, please confirm the number of investigations where external consultants were engaged to conduct or assist with the investigation.

Of the workplace or disciplinary investigations conducted or assisted by external consultants in the same period, please confirm:
i) The average fee per investigation levied by the external consultants;
ii) The average fee per day levied by the external consultants.

The Scheduled Public Authority (SPA) does not hold information relating to the average fees paid to external consultants. The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 does not require an SPA to create new data sets specifically for this purpose, therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”
For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –
(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or
(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
