C

The Job Related Fitness Test has been in place since 2018 and is undertaken by all warranted Police Officers on an annual basis. There are currently 213 serving Police Officers. Details of the numbers of police officers from previous years have been released as part of previous request:

States of Jersey Police Staffing (FOI)

The only exception covered a period of approximately 8 months from late 2019 into 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

B

During the entire time periods specified, the numbers who have failed are fewer than 5 and therefore this information is withheld in order to prevent officers being identified. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

As a reasonable adjustment, Officers are offered the Chester Treadmill Police Walk Test as an alternative test.

C

There have been no officers dismissed as a result of failing their fitness test.
