Request
Last year the Central Market began running late night openings for eateries with access to the premises monitored by security staff.
Please advise which entity or entities are paying for the hire of security staff, cleaning staff and any other operational staff during these late night openings? Are these costs, in any ratio, being paid for by Jersey Property Holdings, the Central Market or any other public fund?
Have there been any changes made to the agreement with regards to payment of staff during the run of these openings? If so, what date did or will these changes take effect? Would it be possible to have confirmation of who instituted the change, should one have been made?
Response
Jersey Property Holdings fund the cleaning costs during the late-night openings of the Central Market.
Security costs are split evenly between Jersey Property Holdings and the tenants that are taking part in the late night openings.
There are no additional operational staff costs.
No contractual (pay) arrangement changes have been made to staff terms and conditions.
