Please could you find out how many nurses are engaged in job share agreements within the States of Jersey healthcare set up? For example, do two nurses work 18.75 hours to fill a full time post of 37.5hrs?
What areas do they work in?
Response
The Health and Social Services Department has not been required to issue any formal job share agreements to date as nursing and midwifery staff are able to work a range of hours agreed operationally subject to service needs.
The Health and Social Services Department has nine nursing and midwifery full-time equivalent posts (six registered nurse posts and three non-registered nurse posts). Each of these posts is filled by two 0.5 full-time equivalents.
It is the States of Jersey policy for all requests for job share arrangements to be given positive and sensitive consideration wherever possible; this policy would be adhered to should any requests for job sharing be received from any profession including nursing.
