A copy of a document referred to in paragraph 8.1.4 of the Solid Waste Strategy published by the Environment and Public Services Committee on 10 May 2005. The information requested is a copy of the "legal advice to the Committee" cited in paragraph 8.1.4 of the Solid Waste Strategy.
Response
The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 includes a Qualified Exemption (Article 31) covering Law Officer advice provided to a States of Jersey Department.
Officers from the Department for Infrastructure have contacted the Law Officers’ Department which has confirmed that this exemption will not be waived in these circumstances.
It is not believed that there is a public interest issue here that would override this exemption.
