The role was advertised on the Government of Jersey’s website (www.gov.je), the Government of Jersey’s recruitment microsite (www.oneteamjersey.gov.je), and online with The Economist. An executive search was also undertaken led by McLean Partnership.

Eleven individuals applied for this role.

The appointment process was chaired by a member of the Jersey Appointments Commission and consisted of:
- Richard Corrigan (Chief Officer, Economy and line manager for the role)
- Paul Martin (Interim CEO, Government of Jersey)
- Richard Bell (Treasurer of the States)
- Amanda Burns (CEO, Visit Jersey)
- Lisa Springate (in capacity as Chair of the Institute of Directors, Jersey).
