Following the proposition lodged by the Minister for Social security ref P .99/2023 to provide the cold weather bonus for an adult receiving 100% LTIA please confirm how many people on 100% LTIA are eligible? 

Response

From the data held on 31 March 2024 there were 293 adults receiving a 100% LTIA award. The household income of these individuals is not known so it is not possible to determine the number of individuals or households that may qualify, therefore the data requested is not held and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
