On page 234 of the States of Jersey Annual Report and Accounts 2023, there is a figure of £497,000 in respect of grants awarded for the Provision of Pilot Schemes. Please provide a detailed breakdown of the individual recipients, the amounts that they were awarded, and detail the legal policy or authorisation under which these grants were made.

The Public Finances (Jersey) Law (2019) provides the framework for public expenditure. In the case of the above payments, they were made with the approval of the Chief of Staff and the Chief Minister in office at the time. It should be noted that the Chief of Staff role no longer exists.
The payments were made from an allocation within the Head of Expenditure for the Cabinet Office.
