In respect of R.105/2023, please confirm:

If any of the Board members or officials of the States Greffe who were present at the meeting of the States of Jersey Complaints Board held on 21 April 2023 in respect of Complain R105/2023, were asked if they wished to declare any personal, family, or business interest regarding any past or ongoing matter relating to PFAS pollution in Jersey, or were asked if they wished to declare any prior connection or engagement with the complainant;

If so, whether any declarations were made.

C

If not, whether any of the Board members or officials of the States Greffe who were present could confirm that they have had no personal, family, or business connection with any past or ongoing matter relating to PFAS pollution in Jersey and confirm that they have had no previous connection or engagement with the complainant prior to this complaint being made.

The findings reported in the Complaint below were in relation to the release of personal medical test results to the public, and the administration of the subsequent complaint (the “Complaint”). The States of Jersey Complaints Board investigated the treatment of the individual solely in relation to the Complaint:

​R.105/2023​

​Members of the Complaints Board declare any interests in the subject of a complaint or any prior engagement with the complainant prior to a Complaint Board hearing being convened and would not be included in the panel for any hearing for which they had made such a declaration. No such declarations were made by the Board members in respect of the hearing held on 21 April 2024. Nor were any declarations made by officers of the States Greffe who were in attendance.

This response has been issued on behalf of the States Greffe. The States Greffe is responsible for the information held by (and on behalf of) both itself and the States Assembly.  Neither the States Assembly nor the States Greffe form part of the Government of Jersey and the Government was not involved either in the examination and retrieval of any information required for this response, nor in the drafting of the response itself.​
