Request
As a number and a percentage of births in Jersey, please advise how many late-stage pregnancies, have been referred to Southampton hospital for subsequent births since the beginning of October 2018.
Response
Health and Community Services’ (HCS’) Antenatal Clinic and Fetal Medicine records indicate that, from October 2018 to date, 13 women have been referred to Southampton at a late stage of pregnancy for subsequent delivery of their baby.
Due to small numbers, HCS are unable to provide a further breakdown of these figures by year as it may lead to the identification of individuals and breach the confidentiality of their personal information. Therefore, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to protect the privacy of individuals.
