According to a written question answered by the Sustainable Economic Development Minister on 24 June 2024, footfall in St Helier is now monitored by the introduction of two additional footfall cameras installed in December 2023 on Queen Street and King Street.

Please confirm the cost of each footfall camera and which company they were purchased from.

Please confirm the precise locations of the footfall cameras.

The footfall monitoring process is run by the Parish of St. Helier. The Government of Jersey contributed the sum of £8,200 towards this project as a whole rather than specifically to the two cameras.
More specific information as to the cost of these two cameras is not held by the Government of Jersey, therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies. It may be held by the Parish of St Helier so you may wish to send your information request to them directly via the contact details below:

The two cameras are located at Snow Hill and Charing cross, however more specific information as to the location of the cameras is not held by the Government of Jersey. It may be available directly from the Parish of St Helier as per the details above.
