A

A total of 22 events have been attended in relation to Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) business or training since 1 January 2019.

  • Members also attended a number of Virtual courses during the period of the request, all of which were supported by the CPA.

* CPA UK Bespoke Programme for newly-elected Members – a bespoke programme delivered by CPA, including the following sessions –

  • Tour of the UK Parliament
  • The Opportunities and Challenges of being an MP
  • Observing Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons
  • Meeting the Channel Islands APPG
  • Balancing Responsibilities
  • Making an impact as a parliamentarian
  • Observing the House of Lords
  • Questioning and debating strategies
  • Visiting the UK Parliament Education Centre
  • Constituency visit.

After each Seminar or Conference, Members are asked by the Executive Committee to complete a feedback form providing insight into learning gained. Particular items may be shared more widely with all States Members. There is also an opportunity to present to all Members at the CPA Jersey Annual General Meeting.

The subscription for Jersey’s membership of the CPA for 2024 was £33,208.


This response has been issued on behalf of the States Greffe. The States Greffe is responsible for the information held by (and on behalf of) both itself and the States Assembly.  Neither the States Assembly nor the States Greffe form part of the Government of Jersey and the Government was not involved either in the examination and retrieval of any information required for this response, nor in the drafting of the response itself.​
