Request
Please advise how much it has cost to host the screening of the Euros in Howard Davis Park.
Response
The total cost to host the screening was £90,479. These costs relate to the hiring and transporting of the screen to Jersey, processors and associated technical hardware, along with security and marshalling, and Health and Safety requirements which formed part of the Bailiff’s permission to host the event.
Whilst the screen is in place, the Government of Jersey has maximised use to include the screening of two of Jersey Cricket’s matches in the European T20 Tournament in Germany, a full day of Bastille Day event screenings on Sunday 14th July from 9am until 4pm and the King’s visit, as well as Children's Day.
A further programme of events is being developed with private sponsorship to create a ‘Summer in the Park’ programme.
