A

In 2019 the States of Jersey granted a loan to Beaulieu School in the maximum sum of £7.3m .  Has the full amount now been drawn down and have repayments been made in accordance to the proposition approved by the States Assembly?

On 5 July 2024 the Government of Jersey loaned two further sums to Saint Meen Properties Limited totalling £9.8m please can you confirm when this was agreed in the States Assembly and what are the terms of the loans?

In 2022 and 2023 Saint Meen Properties Limited were late completing their annual return with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and were notified of potentially being 'struck off'.  What will happen to the loans if the company is struck off?

A

The full value of the 2019 States Loan to Beaulieu School has not yet been drawn, any remaining capital may be drawn until 31 August 2025 after which, capital repayments shall be due.

Over the course of 2024, further loans totalling £9.8m have not been issued by the Government of Jersey to St Meen​ Properties Limited.

The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 gives a right to request information that is held in recorded form, unless exempt. This request poses a question rather than seeking information held in recorded form. In any event, the information is not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
