Pavement widening costs (FOI)

Please advise how much it has cost to widen the pavements, just completed, in La Motte Street.

Response

The cost of the public realm works in La Motte Street is £1,008,290.85.

This figure includes scheme development, public consultation, detailed design and supervision, as well as construction works.  The civil engineering construction works, in addition to widening pavements, includes drainage upgrade to increase surface water drainage and separate surface water from the foul drainage system within the extents of the site, new streetlighting, planter and planting.

It should be noted that this figure does not include the carriageway resurfacing works planned for later this year.​
