Please could we have the number of students who applied for a student grant and separately the numbers who received a grant for the following years. If the final number for 2024/25 is not known yet, an estimate please.

Please supply the total amount of funding, this may not be possible for the current year, but an estimate is fine.

The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 gives a right to request information that is held in recorded form, unless exempt. The request for an estimation of the academic year 2024 – 2025 is not information held in recorded form. Therefore, the Department have determined that Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
