Request

Please advise the number of 'Certificates of Exemption' issued for XL Bully type dogs since the new law was introduced on 1st February 2024. (note: this request is specific and not the same as the FOI dated 29 February 2024 which requested the number of XL Bully dogs on the island).

Response

The Information requested is not held by the Government of Jersey, therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
