For 2024

a) How much was the total Budget for "Pre-primary and Primary education"

b) What percentage of the "Pre-primary and Primary education" budget was made up of staff costs

c) How much was the total Budget for "Secondary education"

d) What percentage of the "Secondary education" budget was made up of staff costs

For 2025

e) How much is the total Budget for "Pre-primary and Primary education"

f) What percentage of the "Pre-primary and Primary education" budget is made up of staff costs (estimate)

g) How much is the total Budget for "Secondary education"

h) What percentage of the "Secondary education" budget is made up of staff costs (estimate)

Please see the table below which provides the total budget for 2024 Pre-primary and Primary, plus secondary plus a breakdown of staffing costs and a percentage. 

Please note the budget for nursery is delivered by primary schools and is not separately identified.

The total in the summary table includes funding to Government of Jersey schools, fee charging schools and grant funded schools. 

The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 gives a right to request information that is held in recorded form, unless exempt. This aspect of the request in relation to 2025 data poses a question rather than seeking information held in recorded form.

2025 budgets will be finalised around the end of February 2025.
