3. The process for the awarding these community grants began with grant applications being received by the ICC Project Team, who then assessed them against related criteria.

4. Following assessment, applications were passed for further consideration and approval if appropriate by the ICC Steering Group, or on a few occasions by the Steering Group Chair due to time constraints.

5. The criteria were that applicants had to demonstrate that their event or activity sufficiently supported one of the following ICC Goals-

  • Goal 1: Providing advice, support, and information to those from other places or cultural backgrounds originating outside Jersey.
  • Goal 2: Encouraging Islanders from all backgrounds to come together and celebrate their unique identities.
  • Goal 3: Sharing and celebrating Jersey's rich history, culture, and customs.
  • Goal 4: Growing in our understanding of barriers to equality, integration, and social cohesion and developing initiatives to overcome them.

6. No specific record of PFM compliance is held.

7. The ICC Project Team reported activity on a monthly basis to the ICC Steering Group.

8. Grant funding was used to support receptions for Ukrainian Day and Romanian Great Union Day, so it is reasonable to assume that some funds were spent on alcohol but there is no specific record of the value.
