Request 692275694

I am writing to you requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Could you please provide me with the following information:

If there are any police stations that have closed down in your area in the past five years and if so, how many.

I would like this information in a digital format. If you have any questions please let me know.

Response

We’ve had a similar Freedom of Information request in 2023. As of now these figures haven’t changed, therefore Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.  You can find our original response here:

Closing of Police stations since 2015 (FOI)

Article applied

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
