Response

1.

22.9 (Full Time Equivalent) staff

2.

Each Minister has 2 or less staff members providing them support.

In total, 18.96 (Full Time Equivalent) staff support 13 Ministers and 9 Assistant Ministers. 

These posts attract either Grade 8 (Research and Administration Officer) or Grade 10 (Assistant Private Secretary) or Grade 12 (Private Secretary).

In addition, 3.94 (Full Time Equivalent) staff undertake business, governance, financial, and operational tasks on behalf of the team and Ministers and Assistant Ministers.

A list breaking down staffing per Minister is not held and would involve creating information which is not required under the Law. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies to this information.

The total expected staff costs for 2025 of all the staff mentioned above is ÂŁ1.88m, including employer social security contributions and employer pension contributions.

Less than 5 have previously held communication type roles in either the communications unit or external organisations.
