Teaching Assistant numbers at Grainville (FOI)

​In FOI 686513967 a figure is given for the turnover of teaching assistants at Grainville School. 

But in a previous FOI I was told that the education department does not have these figures? 

Could I have figures for turnover of both teachers and teaching assistants at all Island secondary schools? Or at least the data where it exists (in the case of Grainville).

Response

It is not possible to provide the turnover rates requested. To provide an accurate response would require manipulation of data. The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 does not require a Scheduled Public Authority to manipulate data to provide a response. Therefore, this information is not held and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
