Please could I request the following information regarding the body scanner at the Royal Court building:
1. The total cost of purchasing and installing the body scanner.
2. The ongoing costs associated with its maintenance, servicing, and operation since installation.
3. The number of times the body scanner has been used to detect prohibited or dangerous items, and whether such detections have been logged as security incidents.
4. A copy of any directives, policies, or guidance followed when making the decision to install the body scanner, including whether this was based on UK guidance or legislation.
5. Whether there are any plans to relocate the scanner, for example, to HMP La Moye, where the government has not yet funded a body scanner despite recommendations from His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons.

The scanner at the Royal Court building is the responsibility of the Bailiff’s Chambers which is not scheduled under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and so is not obliged to answer requests made under that Law.​
