Summary

The Getting It Right First Time programme is an UK national program that focuses on reducing unwarranted variation to improve productivity and efficiency.

It reviews all specialities of surgery and medicine. This invited review was undertaken to explore opportunities to improve both productivity and efficiency in theatres and orthopaedic services.
