Background
A request has been received from the Connétable of Trinity to add 20 mph speed limits on a number of by-roads around Trinity Primary School.
Discussion
The Connétable of Trinity has requested that the following by-roads have new 20 mph speed limits applied as they are used by parents and children attending Trinity Primary School and the reduction in speed along these roads will improve safety for children when being taken to or collected from the school:
Les Ruelles
La Rue du Mont Pellier (from La Rue es Picots to La Rue des Brulees)
Rue de Travers
La Verte Rue between its junctions with La Rue es Picots and Rue de Travers
La Rue du Carrefour
The safety improvements from this change are in support of the Government objective of “Putting Children First”.
The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Jersey) Order 2003 is administered by Infrastructure, Housing and Environment.
