Events taking place during the Royal Visit

We are delighted to confirm the Visit of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take place in and around St Helier during the afternoon of Monday 15 July 2024.

There are four main locations which will feature in the programme and there will be plenty of opportunities for the general public to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy this historic occasion.

TBC	Arrival	Their Majesties arrive in Jersey.
TBC	Royal Gun Salute	Their Majesties will see the final seven rounds of a 21 Royal Gun Salute by 1781 Militia at People’s Park firing the Duke of Edinburgh Battery. They will briefly pause to receive a salute from the Battery Commander Terry Underwood. There will be marshalled viewing areas to the rear of the cannons.
TBC	Special States Sitting and Sitting of the Royal Court	On arrival to the Royal Square Their Majesties will be led by the Royal Mace of 1663, gifted to the island by King Charles II in recognition of the Island’s loyalty to the Crown. There will be limited public viewing areas surrounding the Royal Square.
TBC	From Church Street Their Majesties will travel to Weighbridge Place.	There will be opportunities along the route for the public to view Their Majesties on their journey.
TBC	Jersey Expo Event	Their Majesties will arrive at Weighbridge Place, to tour the ‘Jersey Expo Event’ Bringing the very best of Jersey into one place focussing on key areas of the island’s agriculture and aquaculture industries and the island’s journey to net zero. Upon conclusion of the visit the expo will be open to the public until 6pm. The expo will also be open on Tuesday 16 July from 10am.
TBC	TS Jersey Presented the King’s Colours	Their Majesties will move to the entrance of the Pomme D’Or Hotel for His Majesty the King to present new King’s Colours to the Jersey Sea Cadets in their 75 year Anniversary.
TBC	The Kings Parade	Their Majesties will move to a dais in front of the Pomme D’Or Hotel for the King’s Parade. This march past will comprise the Band of the Island of Jersey, Jersey Field Squadron, Veterans, Blue Light services, Cadet units, Scouts, Guides etc. There will be areas for public viewing.
TBC	Community Tea Party	Their Majesties will join a community tea party event to meet a cross-section of the Island community who have been invited to Liberation Square. There will be areas around the tea party for public viewing.
TBC	Departure	Upon conclusion of their visit to the tea party, Their Majesties will travel to Government House - passing through a guard of honour lining the Esplanade in front of Liberation Station.
