Following a formal tender exercise, R.A. Rossborough (Insurance Brokers) Limited have been awarded a three year contract to act as Insurance Brokers and advisers on the States of Jersey Insurance Programme.
Stuart Lusby, Head of Shared Services at the Treasury and Resources Department stated that the insurance market had become more competitive in recent times and it was felt that it was appropriate to go out to tender. “Rossborough, in partnership with HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited, gave an extremely professional submission. It both fulfilled our requirements for local expertise and they are also able to offer a full complement of risk management and London Market broking services” he said.
A full feasibility study of the States of Jersey will be carried out early next year. This is with a view to further increase the ‘self-insurance’ arrangements already in place; these will help to protect the States from future insurance cost increases.
