The Minister for Economic Development has announced the switch over date for the airport's new air traffic control centre.
Senator Alan Maclean said “Following a comprehensive review at a project management meeting yesterday (15 June 2010), I have approved a recommendation from the airport director to switch over to the new air traffic control centre on 30 November 2010.
"This decision reflects Jersey Airport’s absolute commitment to safe and compliant flight operations and takes into account revised estimates for the completion of system installations, testing, officer training and the necessary regulatory approvals for the new air traffic control facility."
