More names on Russian and Ukrainian sanctions list

25 March 2014

Jersey has added a further 12 Russian and Ukrainian officials to the list of those who have been identified by the European Union as responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The Community Provisions (Restrictive Measures – Ukraine) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2014 came into force on 24 March 2014. This amendment extends the scope of the restrictive measures that came into force on 18 March 2014, ensuring that Jersey’s sanction regime remains aligned with international developments.

The updated list of designated persons is published by the UK Treasury on Gov.uk.
