Deputy Anne Pryke has now joined Deputy Richard Rondel as another assistant minister for the Department for Infrastructure.
The Minister for Infrastructure, Deputy Eddie Noel has asked Deputy Anne Pryke to become an additional assistant minister. Although Deputy Pryke will not have a specific portfolio, the department has an increased workload with all the transformational change that is going on, including looking at the introduction of commercial waste charges and the Minister feels additional political assistance will be helpful to help drive the programme of work.
Deputy Pryke is also the current Housing Minister, an assistant minister at Education and for the Environment Department. The appointment, which has been approved by the Chief Minister in line with States of Jersey Law 2005, is effective immediately.
Deputy Eddie Noel, Minister for Infrastructure said: “Deputy Pryke and I have worked together well in the past and I very much value her opinion and support.”
