20 April 2020
Greater details regarding those tested for Coronavirus will now be published daily from today, (Monday 20 April) alongside the total positive and negative cases.
To date, the Government of Jersey has published figures online in relation to pending results, negative cases, positive cases and the number of deaths involving COVID-19.
Now that numbers have reached a level where patient anonymity can be protected, further details on the cases will be published publicly.
Details will include the number of those who have recovered, percentages of male and female, the average age of positive cases and figures on hospital beds.
The Chief Minister Senator John Le Fondré said: “As I indicated a few days ago, I am now pleased to confirm that we can now offer this level of detail on the coronavirus cases Health and Community Services are handling.
“I know Islanders have been keen to learn more about our testing results. However, it was important to protect Islanders’ privacy and confidentially while the numbers were relatively low. Now that we are seeing more significant numbers tested and results coming in, we can break down that data to reveal these finer details and share them with the public.”
The new testing information will now include:
- Total number of those who have recovered from a COVID-19 infection
- Total people tested
- Total % positive female
- Total % positive male
- Total % recovered female
- Total % recovered male
- Average age of those tested positive
- Average age % recovered
- Total hospital beds occupied

- Hospital occupancy rate %
- Total Covid-19 patients in HCS premises
- Total samples tested
