Government highlights four years of work

28 January 2022

This afternoon (Friday 28 January), at a press conference announcing the relaxation of COVID-19 measures, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the officers and staff who have worked throughout the pandemic response.

He also thanked those who have been working across Government on the other important projects and workstreams as part of the Government's normal business.

Senator John Le Fondré emphasised that while attention has been rightly directed at our pandemic response, many initiatives may not have received the recognition that they deserve.

Over the next six-weeks (from Monday 31 January) Government will be using its social channels to highlight the achievements of public sector staff, who have continued to focus on Government priorities and delivered many new initiatives during a very challenging time which has been overshadowed by the pandemic, and to thank them for their hard work.

The first week will focus on 'Putting Children First', highlighting the objectives contained in the Children's Plan, and other initiatives that support children and young people.

The campaign will feature videos, interviews and blogs on all Government's social media platforms.

Officers and Ministers will be available for interview throughout the campaign to talk about the projects which have helped to meet the objectives of the Common Strategic Priorities.
