The Minister for Infrastructure, Connètable Andy Jehan, has published a report that sets out
recent, ongoing and intended future public realm investment.
The report particularly emphasises the plans for “La Grande Rue”, which includes the full pedestrianisation of Broad Street and its closure to all vehicles. Changes are also proposed to Library Place and Church Street to give pedestrian priority (with access still permitted for taxis and buses through Library Place and Church Street).
Following publication of the report, Government will be engaging with local businesses in respect of
these plans and businesses will be receiving the attached engagement leaflet.
