The product presents a serious risk of electric shock and fire. This is due to multiple test failures which included the following:
The product has weak plug pins that are liable to break off in the socket.
It is fitted with a large unmarked and unapproved capacitor which means there is higher risk of these devices short circuiting. The product does not have a fuse or other protection which means that it relies on the building circuit breaker for protection. It does not meet electrical equipment safety regulations.
Owners of this product should stop using it immediately and approach the distributor for redress.
