A product safety report has been issued on this product due to presenting a serious risk of electric shock as the insulation between the input and output circuits is poor. The plug did not meet the dimensional requirements of BS1363 as the pins were only 5.7 mm from the periphery, which can allow access to live parts when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket.
Additionally, the fuse in the plug does not meet the requirements of BS1362 as the length measured too small and the fuse had not been supplied with any granular filler.
