Whirlpool is to recall and replace Indesit and Hotpoint washing machines in January 2020. Whirlpool UK Appliances Ltd have identified a fault in its Hotpoint and Indesit brands. The affected products door locks could catch fire due to overheating during the washing process. The affected washing machines are those manufactured under the Hotpoint and Indesit brands between 2014 and 2018. Affected consumers are advised to unplug their machine and register with Whirlpool for a replacement. Consumers can contact the Whirlpool helpline on 0800 316 1442 for more information or visit the Whirlpool website for a full list of affected machines.
