Find help and support for children, young people and families in Jersey

Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship (JAYF)

JAYF is a local charity with a mission to provide safe, affordable, supervised short and medium term accommodation to young adults between the ages of 18 to 25 who might otherwise be homeless in Jersey.

JAYF currently runs 5 hostels with a total of 29 residents. Residents recieve:

  • holistic, person-centred, quality support in a positive environment where issues connected with homelessness can be addressed
  • stability and security as a stepping stone enabling them to pursue further education, training or find employment and more permanent accommodation
  • are empowered to achieve their goals and access appropriate services

JAYF believes a young person's circumstances should not define their future and that given the right support, everyone can reach their true potential. Since 1961, JAYF has been standing alongside youth in need in Jersey, offering real hope that has lasting impact.

Currently, the Open Garden scheme is JAYF's main fundraising activity, and we are extremely grateful to past and current supporters who attend the Open Gardens each year and help JAYF raise invaluable funds.
