About the consultation
Islanders are being asked to give their feedback on the Government of Jersey buildings they use, as part of work to ensure the properties are suitable for the services run from them.
The Government’s Island Public Estates Strategy 2021 to 2035 outlined the need for the Property Holdings team to develop a Strategic Asset Management Plan, to set out a 20-year plan of how the portfolio can be adapted to best suit the needs of customers.
A consultation has been launched to discover Islanders' views on how fit for purpose Government of Jersey buildings are. The consultation asks questions about, for example:
- lighting
- noise
- layout
- accessibility
The results of this consultation will be made publicly available. It will inform the property management team in ensuring that our public estate is fit for purpose and supports the best possible standards for current and future public services.
