About the consultation
Islanders are being asked to give their views on how Jersey can ensure that its education system welcomes and supports all children, regardless of their differences. This includes those who speak more than one language and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Independent Review of Inclusive Education and Early Years was commissioned as part of the Government of Jersey’s commitment to putting children first. It recommended a shift in culture to meet the educational needs of all children and young people. This includes agreeing what Inclusive Education should look like in Jersey and making this clear by creating an Inclusion Charter that everyone can understand.
The results of this consultation will be made publicly available. It will be used by officers in Children, Young People, Education and Skills (CYPES) to help shape the Inclusion Charter.
