About the consultation
Jersey’s Minister for Children and Housing has committed to bring forward a new law which will require Ministers, States Members and some public authorities to consider children's rights when carrying out their functions.
Before we begin drafting this law, we want to test its key features through public consultation. We want to hear your views about who and what the law will apply to, when it will come into force and how it will help to bring about culture change in relation to children’s rights.
This consultation guide describes the model for the law, the principles it is based on and Jersey's commitment to promote and protect children's rights.
