This publication ‘The absolutely essential health and safety toolkit’ provides a straightforward method of recognising and managing the common health and safety risk found during the course of construction work.
Although this toolkit can be applied to all types of construction work, it is specifically designed to help smaller contractors complete the written health and safety plan.
A written health and safety plan is required when two or more contractors are engaged to carry out the work.
An example of a health and safety plan for small projects is included in the appendix to the ‘Managing Health and Safety in Construction: Approved Code of Practice, ACoP 11’.
This publication was printed in conjunction with the Jersey Construction Council and with permission from the UK Health and Safety Executive.
