The information you enter in this app will be used for the purpose of managing fisheries and marine resources and to administer your fishing boat licence, in accordance with the Sea Fisheries (Jersey) Law 1994.
The information may be shared with relevant UK and French Authorities for the purpose of fisheries management in accordance with the Fisheries Management Agreement and the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
Catch information may be used by the Government of Jersey to monitor fishing activity within the industry. Grouped statistics may be published by the Department in reports which will be made available at www.gov.je.
Your personal information will not be processed further unless permitted under a condition of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, or there is another legal requirement for us to do so.
Data Retention Policy / Account Deletion
If on demand a person wants to be forgotten within the system, there is a process. The catch app data in terms of numbers and areas of fishing will be kept indefinitely but there is a data process that is in place where the supplier/developer can delete an entry apron demand but leaving the catch data.
