Please could you provide the following information regarding the Aircraft Registry?
A
Approximate total costs of establishing and running the registry to date.
B
Approximate cost of internal resources, for example law drafting, used to establish and maintain the registry to date.
C
Number of aircraft registered as of 31 December 2016.
D
Approximate total income to the States of Jersey from the Registry up to 31 December 2016

A
Since the decision was made on 17 September 2013 by the then Minister for Economic Development to pursue a Jersey Aircraft Registry, until 1 February 2017, £860,801 has been spent on establishing and developing the Jersey Aircraft Registry (JAR).
B
During the period referred to in the answer to ‘A’ above, approximately £60,000 of internal resources has been used to establish and maintain the Registry.
We do not hold information on the financial costs of law drafting resources for the work specified. This is classed as part of business as usual.
C
Two aircraft have been registered.
