Response
A
In the six months to 28 Feb 2017, there have been 429 emergency calls recorded as a ‘Grade One Call’ on the police ‘Incident logging system’ (Ilog).
The States of Jersey Police aim to reach 90% of ‘grade one’ calls in the town area within 10 minutes and within 20 minutes at any other island location. This target has been achieved each year since the target was introduced. The below table shows the average time taken to reach ‘Code 1 calls both in the town area and outside of town.
Code 1 responses from 1 September 2016 to 28 February 2017 |
---|
Area | Number | Average time to arrival | % within set target times |
St Helier | 251 | 0:04:18 | 96% |
Outside St Helier | 187 | 0:08:09 | 97% |
B and C
Information not held. The Incident logging system does not record the initial location of an officer or vehicle allocated to a call. It is the officer who is allocated on the Ilog system, not the vehicle.
D and E
There is no such thing as an average day or night. Vehicles are deployed based on officer numbers and perceived requirement. The night-time economy will be busier towards the end of the week and weekends.
Traffic will be busier during the morning and evening peak. More Road Traffic Collisions (RTC’s) occur during inclement weather.
