Request

Can you please inform me of the number of reported RTCs involving vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists in Rue de Maupertuis, St. Clements in the last three years?

Response

There have been seven Road traffic collisions (RTC’s) on this road in the past three years.

One incident where the rider of a pedal cycle, a 16 year old child on the way to school, rode into the rear of a stationary motor vehicle. The vehicle had stopped to allow an oncoming vehicle to pass and the cyclist was riding too close. The child was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Other incidents included, four cases involving a minor collision between two motor vehicles (wing mirrors) and two cases of damage caused by vehicles that did not stop and report the accident. In one case, a parked vehicle was damaged and in the other, a wall was slightly damaged. No injuries have been reported to any pedestrians.
