Request

What is exiting States police chief Mike Bowron's current salary?

What is his current employment role at the States of Jersey Police (SOJP)? I note there is now a new chief and deputy chief yet Mr Bowron is still employed by the SOJP.

A previous response has stated that Mr Bowron 'is working out his contractual notice period, some of which is being taken as annual leave that is still due to him'

When did Mr Bowron last work a day at the SOJP?

Is he still being paid his full salary?

Will he be returning to work at the SOJP? If so, in what capacity?

How much annual leave does he get as standard?

How much annual leave has he accrued?

Is Mr Bowron on 'gardening leave'?

Response

Mr Bowron’s salary can be found in the States of Jersey Annual accounts, accessible through the following link:

Financial Report and Accounts 2016

As previously indicated Mr Bowron is working his contractual notice and taking any leave to which he remains entitled, which is a maximum of 28 days as it is for all Chief Officers.

Mr Bowron still works for the States of Jersey Police in an advisory capacity and remains on his salary whilst working his contractual notice until his retirement.
