Response
There have been no reported robberies from individuals using or having just used an ATM in Jersey in the past 10 years.
In May 2012, two males were stopped on entering the island by Jersey Customs. They were found to be in possession of equipment used to ‘Skim’ card details as individuals used an ATM. They were arrested and dealt with at Magistrates court before being returned to the UK where police were awaiting. A third male who was not stopped by customs officers returned to the UK on the next boat but was arrested on arrival in the UK. No monies were obtained in Jersey.
