How much money is spent dealing with possession of drugs in Jersey, and how many people are charged for it annually.
Response
The States of Jersey Police do not hold the information requested regarding how much money is spent dealing with offences committed under the Misuse of drugs (Jersey) Law 1978. It is not possible with any accuracy to calculate the figure and it is not within the remit of the Freedom of information (Jersey) Law 2011 to create information not already held.
Information indicating the numbers charged for offences under the Misuse of drugs (Jersey) Law 1978 is absolutely exempt under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as it is reasonably available elsewhere in the police annual reports, accessible through the following link:

Article 23 Information accessible to applicant by other means
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information
